I like the contrast of mixing edgy and feminine pieces. To me sequins are girly and leather is tough. When it came to styling this vintage sequin blazer, I knew I wanted to edge it up a bit. And what’s better for doing that than with a faux patent leather mini skirt? This one I had made for me based on a sketch, but you can find similar options here and here. The high-waisted skirt or pant silhouette paired with a roomier top is one of my favorites because it is easy to wear, a.k.a. super flattering. I do like to wear leather (especially if it is vintage) and am currently loving adding a little patent leather into the mix.

To finish off the look, I grabbed my patent silver stilettos and a cool velvet baker boy hat, which is stiff competition for my best vintage find ever. Since it is still winter, I am wearing fishnet tights to keep my legs somewhat warm.
