Acorn Street in Boston is a picturesque example of a true cobblestone street. Originally dating back to the early 1800s, the stones, smoothed and rounded by the flowing water of streams, create a hazard for high heels but a photographer’s dream. Coachmen and servants of the Beacon Hill elite were once quartered on this narrow street, considered by some to be the most photographed in America.
